Non-GMO Project STANDARD

The Non-GMO Project Standard is a consensus-based document that has been crafted with the insight and expertise of over 50 individuals, reflecting a dynamic range of perspectives. A draft of the Standard, composed with input from the Project’s Technical Advisory Board, was presented for a 60-day public comment period in October and November of 2007.

Feedback was then incorporated during an extensive revision process, and a Working Standard was approved by the Board of Directors in late February 2008.

A regular semi-annual review process was begun in the spring of 2008. Public comments will be accepted every fall from October 10th through November 10th and every spring from March 10th through April 10th.

Project Exhibits with UNFI at Expo East

The Natural Products Expo East, held this past October in Boston, afforded some very productive outreach for the Project, thanks largely to the generosity of UNFI, who gave the Project a corner of their centrally-located booth to exhibit from and hold meetings at.
